QRI Lifestyle Proudly Supports Rail R U OK? Day

Date:
By Tanya Heath

QRI Lifestyle was proud to attend and support the recent Rail R U OK? Day, joining Queensland Rail staff and the wider rail community for an important initiative focused on wellbeing, connection and starting meaningful conversations.

Rail R U OK? Day is a dedicated awareness event that encourages people working across the rail industry to check in with their colleagues, friends and family by asking a simple but powerful question R U OK? Sometimes a genuine conversation can make a real difference, helping someone feel supported, heard and connected.

At QRI Lifestyle, supporting our members goes beyond benefits and discounts. We value community, wellbeing and creating opportunities for people to connect. That’s why we were pleased to be involved in an event that promotes mental health awareness and reminds us all of the importance of looking out for one another.

Bringing Energy and Smiles with the Smoothie Bike

One of the highlights of the day was the QRI Lifestyle smoothie bike, which quickly became a favourite. Queensland Rail staff had the chance to jump on the bike, pedal their way to powering a delicious fresh smoothie.

Sometimes it is the small moments in sharing a laugh, having a conversation or simply taking time out together, that help strengthen workplace culture and wellbeing. The smoothie bike was a great way to bring people together in a light-hearted and memorable way.

Supporting the Rail Community

QRI Lifestyle has a long-standing connection with the rail community, and we are proud to continue supporting initiatives that bring people together and make a positive impact.

Events like Rail R U OK? Day are valuable because they create awareness in a practical and approachable way. They encourage conversations that can continue long after the event has ended, at work, at home and in everyday life.

We thank everyone who visited the QRI Lifestyle table, jumped on the smoothie bike and helped make the morning a success. It was wonderful to see so many staff getting involved.

Keep the Conversation Going

While Rail R U OK? Day is an important annual event, the message is relevant every day of the year. Checking in on a workmate, friend or family member can have a lasting impact.
