We have been busy bees across Queensland upgrading our QRI and Member Halls – and Bundaberg was no exception! The hall has had a much-needed facelift, with considerable works completed to make it safer, more welcoming, and fit for the future. Here’s a snapshot of what’s been done:
A big thank you goes to our long-term tenants, the Indigenous Wellbeing Centre, for their generosity and patience while works were underway. We hope they enjoy the improvements as much as we do. We also want to thank Adam and the team at Commercial Asset Management for their support – once again delivering a quality project for us, on time and on budget.
A New Addition on the Bundaberg Rail Platform Another exciting update: we have reinstated a vending machine on the Bundaberg Rail Platform! This has been a passion project for our QRI Inc. President, Ken Cavanough, who worked with us tirelessly to source a great quality second-hand machine. It is now fully installed, stocked, and maintained by Ken himself. Watch this space – our talented Tanya is designing a QRI Lifestyle wrap for the machine. It will both promote QRI and thank our members for their ongoing support. We will keep you updated with photos once it’s unveiled. Looking Ahead – Community Events As always, our focus is on keeping members at the heart of everything we do. The hard work from our team, loyal supporters, and volunteers is paying off, and we are looking forward to celebrating with you. We’d love to see you next week ahead of the QRI Golf Day at Bargara: Vue Room, Burnett Riverside Hotel, 7 Quay Street, Bundaberg Friday 29th August 2025
