On 31 July 2026, QRI Lifestyle staff from the Brisbane Head Office, Tanya and Ariana, joined Gladstone QRI Lifestyle members and their partners for a wonderful evening of festive fun, good food and great company at the Rocky Glen Hotel in Gladstone. It was a fantastic opportunity for the team to connect with members face-to-face, enjoy the mid-year Christmas spirit and celebrate the strong sense of community that makes QRI Lifestyle special.
Our Christmas in July dinner was a fantastic opportunity for members to get together, enjoy a delicious sit-down buffet-style dinner followed by dessert, and spend some time catching up with fellow QRI members. Events like this are a great reminder that QRI Lifestyle is about more than membership benefits.
We were also pleased to welcome QRI State Management Committee representative Allan Butler, who made the trip from Bundaberg to join us for the evening. Allan went above and beyond to help make the night special, generously bringing along chocolates from the Bundaberg Rum Distillery for every guest to enjoy. And it wouldn’t be Christmas without Santa! Allan kindly stepped into the role of Santa for the evening, adding a bit of extra Christmas magic and plenty of smiles. We also enjoyed a round of Christmas Bingo, with members getting into the spirit of the game and competing for some great QRI prizes.
There were plenty of chances to win throughout the evening, with members taking home QRI merchandise packs and vouchers. The biggest surprise of the night went to our lucky door prize winner, who walked away with a four-night holiday voucher to use at one of QRI Lifestyle’s holiday units.
The voucher can be used at one of our popular holiday destinations in Coolum, Mermaid Beach, Yeppoon or Brisbane. Making it a pretty great Christmas-in-July present!
A special thank you goes to the team at the Rocky Glen Hotel for helping make the evening such a success. The room was beautifully set up and ready for our members and the staff did a fantastic job throughout the night. Their friendly service and attention to detail helped create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
The evening also provided an opportunity to keep our Gladstone members connected and informed as QRI Lifestyle looks towards the future.
Members are encouraged to stay tuned for more information coming soon regarding the planned demolition of the Gladstone Hall and the property beside it. We will continue to keep members updated as plans progress and more information becomes available.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came along and made our Christmas in July dinner such a memorable night. It was wonderful to see members and their partners enjoying themselves, sharing a meal, having a laugh and simply spending time together.
