Important Voting Information for the AGM

Dear Members,

We are committed to ensuring that all our members across Queensland have the opportunity to engage in the decision-making process at this year’s AGM. To facilitate this, members can submit their votes or appoint a proxy for the proposed special resolutions and SMC nominations using a secure online form, as well as through postal voting.

Here are the key points to keep in mind:

Proxy Voting: If you choose to appoint a proxy, this individual will vote on your behalf at the AGM.
Online Voting: If you opt to vote via the online form, you will not be able to submit a proxy.
In-Person Attendance: If you attend the AGM in person, you will have the option to vote using either the online form or a paper ballot.
Submission of Votes: Proxies should be submitted to the SMC Secretary and will only be accessed and counted at the start of the AGM. Votes will be submitted to the Returning Officer and similarly accessed and counted at the commencement of the meeting.
Transparency: To ensure a transparent process, two independent scrutineers will be present at the AGM to oversee the counting of votes.
